In childhood, the concept of death is often a distant, abstract idea, free from the weight of fear. Children live in a world where life is endless, and death is a notion not yet grasped. This innocence is gradually lost as adults, with their own fears and understandings of mortality, begin to impart their perceptions onto the next generation. Through stories, cautionary tales, and sometimes direct experiences, the once untouched minds of children are introduced to the reality. The simple, carefree existence is replaced by an awareness of life’s fragility, and with it, a fear of death. This is inevitable loss of innocence and the societal imprint that shapes our understanding of life and death.
